TERRY HANCOCKA consistent finalist in international competition, Terry Hancock studied at Purdue U. (AD, BA, MS), applies electronic visual arts in combination with his anatomical studies as a medical practitioner (IU Med Center). Terry was born in southern Indiana (USA). Surrounded by luscious forests and green limestone quarries, he chose to pass his time through indoor pursuits, such as amateur radio, film and studio recording. As hobbies and past times, these experiences directly transferred to his digital still photography and editing. And his later knowledge as a medical practitioner appears to have assisted in anatomy studies. He now lives in New Mexico. Sometimes done pixel by pixel, his bright, bold and cheery art only began in 2001. Terry's consistent themes are usually conservative (especially in this age) eroticism and a very positive image of the female - all that, in fantasy land. He feels both beauty and a story are the two absolute necessities for anyone's art. And when you display one of his works, the media and technique will truly be unique. No one else works this way.
His Electric Eccentric Studio (www.electriceccentricstudio.com) title is very descriptive, as to what developed from that Midwestern American start. Over the last few years, he has honed, separately, both his digital and mixed media abilities and finished within the final six (both 2005 & 2006), as chosen at the original internet contest - The International Art Contest (Sydney, Australia)(online since 1996)
