A professional painter for more than 30 years, Susan prefers painting in oils, and specializes in sporting art, dogs, and horses.  She also enjoys working in black and white with pencil or pen and ink.  In recent years, Susan has expanded into both ceramic and bronze sculpture, creating individual animals as well as dynamic hunting and wildlife scenes.

In her art, Susan draws on her own life and interests.  A native of Ohio, she moved to New Mexico in the early 1990s, the better to pursue her serious interest in wingshooting, big-game hunting, and horseback endurance riding.  Her experiences as a hunter and rider have provided a wide variety of material for her paintings and sculpture.
