JOHN ROSEI love painting flowers, employing lots of color and exploring composition. If a painting keeps you coming back to it along with enhancing your living space then, I consider it a success. My art education began with observing my mother painting in her studio throughout my grade school years and attending the Pinacoteque School of Art in Albuquerque, NM. Carol Allison and Victor Cox were my instructors who in turn were students of both Howard Wexler and Ziegfried Hahn. Art Center in Pasadena, CA back in the mid ‘80s became my college experience and really enjoyed the atmosphere of student artists and great instructors. Following was UNM’s Fine Art program and on into the field of graphics and freelance illustration for the last 20+ years. Both children’s book and humorous illustration fill my web pages at johnroseillustration.com. Recently, Canadian author Kathy Gilbertson and I collaborated on our first children’s book called Adventures with Fluff.com. It is 26 fun filled pages of a cat and a girl exploring all kinds of things together. |
