HANK ESTRADA

Hank Estrada paints New Mexico's intense landscapes and spectacular vistas in oils. Hank’s inspirations are found right in his own Placitas, New Mexico backyard. “At any given time of the day, I’m completely captivated by the simple order of rolling hillsides dotted with junipers, the majestic panoramas of the Sandia Mountians, and how our natural light instantly adds to the drama of a scene.”

 

In June of 2007, Hank signed up to take his first oil painting class. “I had dreams of learning how to capture with paints the awsome New Mexico beauty that surrounds me everyday, and so far, I am proud of what I have accomplished.” Hank has discovered his enjoyment, passion, and natural talent for painting. “I’m truly excited about exploring the limitless painting possibilities throughout the entire Southwest, but more specifically here in New Mexico.” With limited formal painting lessons, Hank Estrada continues to be self taught. Hank, was born February 20, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, but has been calling New Mexico home now since 1989. He has lived in Santa Fe, Truth Or Consequences, Silver City and now, Placitas, New Mexico.
